Hi,
Which version of OTRS you use ?
I had the same problem with a custom version of OTRS 1.2 with CVS
backport (to have LDAP feature) and if my memory still good, I have
added this to my Kernel/Config.pm:
# CustomerDefaultState
# (default state of new customer tickets)
$Self->{CustomerDefaultState} = 'new';
This already exist in the Kernel/Config/Default.pm in OTRS 1.3.
Regards,
Yann Richard.
