mod_rewrite doesn't deal with redirection, it deals with *rewriting*  
the URL (so you see http://www.agenthelpdesk.com/ in your address  
bar, but actually the webserver is showing you http:// 
www.agenthelpdesk.com/otrs/index.pl).

While this would work, I'd say a simple one-line Redirect is a lot  
easier (no regular expression needed). :o)
