We don't run Debian, but if it doesn't work then you might want to  
file a bug against that package.

The database schema has changed from 2.0.4 to 2.2.4. The scripts  
modify the database so it works properly on the new version of OTRS.  
You cannot use a OTRS 2.0.4 database with the OTRS 2.2.4 code.
