(requires OTRS 2.3) as well as FAQ Module 1.3.3. (requires OTRS 2.2). Fixed bugs: ========== OTRS FAQ Module 1.5.3 (OTRS 2.3): * Bug #3356 - Old FAQ articles lost new lines after upgrade. [ http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3359 ] OTRS FAQ Module 1.3.3 (OTRS 2.2): * Bug #2897 - FAQ::Default::State: did not work. [ http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2897 ] * Bug #1718 - FAQ Module inserted new lines (br) inside html-tags. [ http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1718 ] Enhancements: ============= OTRS FAQ Module 1.5.3 (OTRS 2.3): * FAQ-Import: FAQ articles can now be imported as CSV files with a new script ( bin/FAQImport.pl ). New categories will be created on the fly. * New FAQ link: A FAQ link (like in the views 'New phone/email ticket') can be shown in AgentTicketNote and other views, e.g. AgentTicketOwner. Release Note: OTRS Windows Installer

Dear Community Members, +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Release Note ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Due to license problems regarding ActivePerl which was included in the former Windows Installer we were forced to overwork the current installer package. This will be done in two steps (1) provide a workaround to enable you to have an installer file available (2) provide a stable release of a new designed Windows Installer based on an alternative Perl version. Stable Release: =============== Is planned to be released Nov-07-2008 Release: ======== The windows installer will be provided with OTRS 2.3.3. Limitations: ============ The workaround presented today entails some limitations, listed below: * ActivePerl was replaced by Strawberry Perl * The apache module mod_perl, that speeds up the exectution of Perl applications will not be avaliable (CGI mode only), which may cost some performance. * DBD::ODBC will also be not available yet. That means that an integration of databases using ODBC connections will not be possible with this installer version. * Additional CPAN modules, that might be needed to develop additional features based on perl, can not be installed. Release Note: OTRS FAQ Module 1.5.1

Dear Community Members, +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Release Note ++++++++++++++++++++++++ We are proud to announce the new OTRS FAQ Module 1.5.1 Enhancements: ============= * Clickable keywords: within the FAQ view, keywords assigned to an FAQ article are displayed as links. If a keyword is clicked, other FAQ articles with the same keyword assigned will be displayed. * Top 10 FAQ article listing: The FAQ explorer view shows the top 10 accessed FAQ articles, next to the latest created articles and the latest changed articles. * FAQ reporting: A new report shows an overview of FAQ articles in a defined time period sorted by access numbers. * WYSIWYG editor: When creating or editing an FAQ article, Rich Text Editors can be used to format the FAQ content and to upload images, which will be shown inline in the FAQ article. * FAQ approval process: There is a new config option which allows to implement an FAQ approval process. With this feature enabled, an FAQ article that is created or edited, will not be published directly. Instead, a notification ticket is created which contains a link to the FAQ article. Enhancements: ============= * Updated Italian translation, thanks to Remo Catelotti! * Updated Chinese translation, thanks to Never Min! Minor Bugfixes: =============== * Bug #3314 - Escalation time was not updated correctly. [ http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3314 ] * Bug #3251 - Was not able to fetch emails via POP3s (Can't connect to) from gmail or MS Exchange mailboxes. (normally read/write permission is required to receive an escalation notification). Meanwhile a manual installation of all components (i.e Apache(optional), MySQL(optional), ActivePerl, additional perl packages, CronW, OTRS) will work and cause no license problems.
