[dev] Please help me

Hi, I am new in OTRS and want to upgrade 2.2 to 3.0. but i am confused what i take first step to ahead. I read only developer guide of OTRS. I know this is step by step up gradation like 2.2 to 2.3 and then 2.4 then 3.0. but suggest me in detail what step i follow. and if i customize (Add new column and remove some colum or concate some column) in the reports of OTRS then what files are changed and what should i take first step. kindly guide me about it.
