I deleted the process from the database and ran bin/PostMasterMailAccount.pl
manually as sugessted.
It just hangs and nothing appears to be happening, no mail comes in. I let
it run for about 10mins and
still there was nothing.

...for some reason the postmaster couldn't fetch the email an dies. Is there anything of interest in the system log? However, please remove the process id from the process_id table an run bin/PostMasterMailAccount.pl manually. Then tell us the output for further analysis.
