First, I found the version of perl_mod is 1.99_12. If you recommand to upgrade to 2, what is the best way to do it? Any rpm link to install it on the server?

Second, yes, I am using a virtual hosting server from a provider. So I cannot use localhost to test on the install page.

Did you mean if I upgrade to perl_mod 2, I should be able to restart Apache and open the webpage for database and further installation?

OK. That means you don't use mod_perl2 at the moment. Because mod_perl2
is nice to have and just for performance tuning, that is no problem.

Are you using virtual hosts? If yes, you have to add the OTRS
specific config settings to the virtual host where OTRS should run on.
What happens if you try to open

http://localhost/otrs/installer.pl

with a browser that is localy installed on your server?

Christian
