while digging through Generic.pm I found that a construct like

In the meanwhile I have found the desired answers,
and finished the regex template code.
Now I am asking if it would be possible to get this
code into the main trunk of the dev.
If this is not possible (perhaps because it is not
generic enough, or other reasons), can you tell me
please if there is a recommended way to "override"
my Generic.pm module from the
Config.pm file?
It behaves the same for operators 'ne' and 'eq', but
adds function for '=~' and '!~' binding operators as
well.
Since these operators have not yet been used in
any DTL files (which I think might be the reason
that they did not work out of the box), there should
not be any compatibility issues.
I am attaching the new dynamic template code
(Located in Generic.pm) below:

# do template if dynamic

Dear developer community! I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Did I post to the wrong list? Do my posts not get through? Am I simply to impatient? (Am I not polite enough?) Was the subject not focused or is the topic simply not of interrest? As I like the OTRS system a lot, but need some additions to be fully usable for my context, I need your valuable recommendations of how to proceed. It would be simple enough for me to fork off my local branch, but since I am a strong believer in open source principles, I would like also to give back my additions. Not at least of course to keep in sync with the additions of other submissions to the source. Please don't get me wrong, I know that all you developers are in a constant busy state, and that it is very hard to keep track on every post. But a simple answer that will tell me if I am on the right track (yes your submission sounds interresting, will consider for inserting in the source tree/ no sorry this is not general, interresting, enough ..whatever.. ) would do it for me. Thank you so much, Roland

Did I post to the wrong list?
No, you're where you wanted to be, probably.
Do my posts not get through?
They went through.
Am I simply to impatient?
A bit.
(Am I not polite enough?)
Not really.
Was the subject not focused or is the topic simply not of interrest?
Focused: yes, not of interest: probably not.

In fact, it may be s.th. is missing in the mail containing the patch, as I cannot get your point. Please try to provide a usual 'diff -bru' attached to your mail, and keep the file size low. We're really looking forward to everyone willing to contribute to the development, but please be patient when expecting an answer. There will be one, but it may not always follow immediatly. You noted the 'busy state' already - get it. Remember: Development is like a flower - it grows, but slowly.
