Dear List, I have information that would be pertinent to have in my users DB. I have misused the one free field to note the telephone number, but it would be nice to be able to add a couple of extra comment field for specifc user information. Has anyone expanded the user db included in otrs to reflect more user information. NOTE: this information should then of cources be available in the ZOOM view for quick reference. Thanks for any help. Shawn

THANK YOU! That was perfect. But, I do have one complaint. The reference to Kernel/Config.pm is not so clear. I have found out that I must edit Kernel/Config/Defaults.pm. That is a little confusing. But, as I have always said. This communitity is super. Shawn

.....Or am I missing the point. I see that in the Kernel/Config.pm there is the note: # -->> Don't edit this file! Copy your needed settings into # Kernel/Config.pm. Kernel/Config.pm will not be updated. <<-- but then what would be the complete format that I need for this change to the MAP array? Can I just put the desired lines in the Kernel/Config.pm [ 'UserPhone','Phone','phone', 1, 0, 'var', '', 0 ], or must I recrete the entire Segment # customer # in Kernel/Config.pm? Sorry, just when you think you know something - you RTFM and are completely bewilderd again. :=) Shawn
