Hej,
I've got a problem with dateformat of CIs and Import/Export. Not sure if
it's a bug or if there is some place to configure the date format.
In german OTRS dates for CI attributes are entered in the format:
dd.mm.yyyy, with english interface it's: mm/dd/yyyy - and they are exported
in that format.
But the importer only accepts dates with the format: yyyy-mm-dd. Other
formats produce e.g.:
"No FormatTimeString() translation found for '10.12.2005 00:00:00' string!"
thanks
best regards, Raphael

I have fixed this problem! Have a look at bug# 2916 for more details.

It's not possible yet. This is a big architecture problem of the CI
database. We are working on a solution. But it's not a easy problem.

Betreff: [itsm] Questions about config item search
Hi,
I would like to do a "Warranty Expiration Date"-search over all items.
Doing that shows me 2 problems:
- The first problem is I can't do a search in the future because the
calendar field shows only the current year and the years before.
- The second problem is I can't do a search with a month or year only.
For example: The search of what computer expires in the year 2009 is not
possible.
What must I do to get this functionallity?
Thank you,
Benjamin

Hello,
I've got a question about identifiers for the csv mapping.
When I create a mapping template for import and select the key "number" as
identifier in step 4, I can update my configitems in otrs with new data from
a csv file.
But when I take the field "name" as identifier it seems as the importer
cannot identify my items correctly - as he inserts all items again into the
database instead of updating the existing ones.
Do I misunderstand the concept of identifiers in the mapping or is it a bug?
Any help appreciated.
best regards, Raphael
Hey Everyone,
I am trying to figure out how to setup config items. Under the
admin section I am only given the ability to configure the 4 basic
groups. How do I add items to the groups? (By groups I mean: Computer,
Hardware, Network, and Software.)
Thank you,
Wes Sothard
Hi List,
When giving in a new ticket a can choose the queue where it goes to
but not the service or SLA.
I filled out some services and SLA's to my best knowledge in the
administrators interface.
What do I need to do to get this? We are using OTRS 2.2.5
Thank you, Enrique

dear list,
i'm searching for documentation for itsm 1.1.0 rc1 functions (packet: 1.0.95)
any ideas??
i'm also playing with settings for "incident state" - "working"/"error/incident"
maybe someone has ideas for:
*) automatic state switching if dependand config-items are set to "error/incident"?
==>it does not work now for me
*) function: new ticket for incident service displays depended config items...
there is soon a ticket for service-X, display depended config-items and tickets...
*) documentation examples for decision: Approved/Rejected - how is that planned?

Hi all,
I'm using ITSM 1.0.94 on OTRS 2.2.6 and can't import any CIs:
I'm trying to import just one "computer" (larger amounts won't work either)
and get the following errors:
Traceback: ERROR: OTRS-CGI-10 Perl: 5.8.8 OS: linux Time: Tue Apr 15
11:58:42 2008
Message: Error occurred. Import impossible!
Traceback (3685):

Module: Kernel::System::Web::InterfaceAgent::Run (v1.23) Line: 670
Module: /opt/otrs/bin/cgi-bin/index.pl (v1.81) Line: 47
Syslog says:

Apr 15 11:58:42 bs-otrs-staging OTRS-CGI-10[3685]:
[Error][Kernel::Modules::AdminImportExport::Run][Line:1191]: Error occurred.
Import impossible!
MySQL doesn't even try to insert anything.
I am wondering about this entry in syslog:
"SourceContent must be a scalar reference"
I haven't had this in 1.0.93 where I got no error at all in OTRS but the
syslog entrys:
Apr 14 10:24:18 bs-otrs-staging OTRS-CGI-10[16215]:
[Notice][Kernel::Modules::AdminImportExport::Run] 1 items exported not
successful.
Apr 14 10:24:18 bs-otrs-staging OTRS-CGI-10[16215]:
[Notice][Kernel::Modules::AdminImportExport::Run] 0 items exported
successful.
After going through the list's archive, I can't tell if I stumbled upon this
bug ( http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2725 ) since it doesn't say in
which "cases" it ignores the import.
Someone got an idea?
With best regards,
Nico
