hi, if you have the 1.0.6 version it shouldn't be a problem of group permissions. if you have clicked the "config item" button, there should appear a yellow star icon in the topmenu on the left for "new" as you can see in the demo at http://itsm-demo.otrs.com/otrs/index.pl?Action=Login&User=admin&Password=otr... if there is no new-icon, i would assume there is sth. wrong in your installation. best regards Raphael 2008/4/8, Brunier, Mikael :

you haven't said which itsm version you are using! itsm groups first came in 1.1.0 beta1.

Hi,

I'm not sure I understand your problem correctly. If you want to add a computer to the database you choose "Config Item" in the top-menu. Then New > Computer. If you don't see an icon for "Config Item" in your top menu, you probably haven't configured the permissions. Go to the admin area, chosse "users <-> groups" and make sure your user is in the itsm groups. Does that solve your problem?
