Hello there, When building a large CMDB, it's neccesary to create sub-classes inside classes. Since OTRS creates sub-queues and sub-services on database using the parent::child syntax, it's easy to think the way sub-classes on CIs should be done the same way so we created a Servers class and then Servers::Windows and Server::Unix sub-classes. All good till then but unfortunately when watching them on otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentITSMConfigItemall of them are shown on the same level, which is a bit of a pain when dealing with a huge structure as our current customer's one. Is there a way of showing sub-classes on Configuration Items like sub-queues are shown? Any help on this is much appreciated. Leonardo Certuche www.itconsultores.com.co Medellín, Colombia

Hi Leonardo, AFAIK this is not implemented. I think this is useful for CMDBs of any size. The CMDB lets you distinguish as much as you need, but if you do so the classes view really gets crowded quickly. Please consider posting this on otrsteam.ideascale.com after a search there and in bugs.otrs.org . Hi Leonardo, thanks for the feedback. Sorry, I'm not up to date, I have still a lot of old unread postings. P.S. I would love to meet community users offline for discussion and ideas, the offline meeting in august 2010 was very helpful (sorry, haven't written a report yet) and also the OTRS booth at Linuxtag Berlin 2010. So please notice that I will visit Chemnitzer Linuxtage 2011 and Linuxtag Berlin 2011. Ideas are very welcome.
