Hi, I'm using OTRS version 2.4.7. ¿Is it possible implement access restriction to CIs categories via ACL? Thanks. Daniel.

No, but via a group in the General Catalog Cheers, Nils -- Nils Leideck http://webint.cryptonode.de / a Fractal project

Hi, Nils. I was trying to see the way to make it through the General Catalog but I've found the way. ¿Could give more details, please? Thanks. Daniel.

In the General Catalog there is a Class for the Config Item Classes. There, you can define one group per class. -- Nils Leideck http://webint.cryptonode.de / a Fractal project

Daer Nils, I have defined several groups or categories in the ITSM::ConfigItem::Class for each type of CI. What I need is to restrict the access of a particular group of CIs to one or more group of users. For example, I have created the groups Applications, Hardware y Software, and I have the groups of users HelpDesk and Support. I need to restrict the access to the group Applications only to the HelpDesk group, and the Hardware and Software to the users of the Support group. ¿Is it possible? Thanks. Daniel. Yes, it could be that your ITSM installation is just too old. If you install the latest version, the General Catalog will provide you with a Group selection. Cheers, Nils -- Nils Leideck http://webint.cryptonode.de / a Fractal project
