Problem in package manager with ITSMConfigurationManagement and ImportExport version 2.0.3

When I upgraded the ImportExport and ITSMConfigurationManagement packages from version 1.3.2 to version 2.0.3 in my OTRS 2.4.7-installation from the online repository, I get the following error messages in the Package manager: Importanthttp://otrs2/otrs-web/images/Standard/error.png : ITSMConfigurationManagement 2.0.3 - Package not correctly deployed! Same problem. Any ideas? Kjetil B.

Hello Kjetil, this looks very much like if you have modified some files, that are used in the mentioned packages. If you click on the package names in the package manager, you can see a list of all included files, the ones wich have been modified are marked with a red icon. Can you confirm this? May it be possible that your otrs directory does not have the correct file permissions, so that the package manager is not allowed to copy the new files? On 04.08.2010 12:03, Kjetil Bernhard Thomassen wrote:

Yes, that was the case. The original 1.3.2 packages were installed as root, and the webserver did not have the permission to overwrite these files. I changed the owner and group of all the files and reinstalled. That solved the problem. I am an experienced UNIX/Linux/NetBSD systems administrator, but as the package manager did not give any error messages during the install, I didn't think that there could be any permission problems. I believe this was a problem for me as well. As far as I can remember, even when installing from scratch, this was a problem. I believe I also had a hard time finding information about file permission in the documentation that time. Could just be me having overlooked that section, since I later found it (Some versions later, though.) Either way, if an opm install encounters file permission problems, error messages should probably be a bit more explicit/verbose, so one might have a chance at guessing what is wrong. Wow, this is a lot... seems like a lot of files have been deleted, that would be the black x if i remember it corrctly, the red x means the file is still there but different. Can you try to click on Reinstall?

So, yes, I can confirm that.
Do I just replace all these files from the .opm files? What is the difference between a red x and a black x?

Hello Kjetil,
this looks very much like if you have modified some files, that are used in the mentioned packages. If you click on the package names in the package manager, you can see a list of all included files, the ones wich have been modified are marked with a red icon. Can you confirm this?
Best regards, Udo

When I upgraded the ImportExport and ITSMConfigurationManagement packages from version 1.3.2 to version 2.0.3 in my OTRS 2.4.7-installation from the online repository, I get the following error messages in the Package manager: Important : ITSMConfigurationManagement 2.0.3 - Package not correctly deployed! You should reinstall the Package again! <http://otrs2/otrs/index.pl?Action=AdminPackageManager&Subaction=Vie w & Name=ITSMConfigurationManagement&Version=2.0.3>

I have tried to reinstall them using the reinstall "button", and when that didn't help, uninstalled them and installed them again from the online repository. Same problem.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Do I just replace all these files from the .opm files? What is the difference between a red x and a black x?
The black x means that the file which should be installed is not there,
it's most likely that it could not be installed due to missing
permissions for the webserver user.
The red x means that the files which are installed do not match with
those which should be installed. You can have a look at the difference
by clicking on the red x.
Since the reinstall-button doesn't help you should try to install the
opm via command line:
