I have tried both 465 and 587 now and the results are the same.
As per my understanding the OTRS are not using TLS and thus we should use
the gmail port 465.
It this not correct?

Select *465 *as SendmailModule::Port  - *Please note that Google also uses
port 587, but only for TLS. OTRS uses SSL communication, so we should select
