[otrs] otrs wont send email

hi have just installed otrs & it doesnt send out mails. nothing on receipt of a new ticket & nothing when i send a mail from the ticket interface. tha log file doesnt show anything: newstage# more /tmp/otrs.log [Thu Jul 6 02:49:43 2006][Notice][Kernel::System::Ticket::TicketCreate] New Ticket [2006070610000027/t2] created (TicketID=33,Queue=Raw,Priority=3 normal,State =new) [Thu Jul 6 02:49:43 2006][Notice][Kernel::System::Ticket::Article::ArticleSend] Sent email to 'xx.xx@xx.com' from 'OTRS System '. HistoryType => SendAutoReply, Subject => Re: [Ticket#2006070610000027] t2; [Thu Jul 6 02:49:43 2006][Notice][Kernel::System::Ticket::Article::SendAutoResponse] Sent auto response (SendAutoReply) for Ticket [2006070610000027] (TicketID =33, ArticleID=61) to 'xxx.xxx@xx.com'. can anyone suggest any tweaks to either get the log dumping more so i can see is sendmail is failing or otrs is failing thanks
