Message: SMTP authentication failed! Enable debug for more info!
Hey, I was fighting with this terror for ages. My mail server is located in the same subnet and there was no rule about this error - for shorter or longer periods of time I was able to send responses and suddenly after some time I was getting an error message. I'm using Lotus Notes server and while having this error I was checking logs and there were no attempts to check mailbox logged. I was able to receive mails to queues but to respond was impossible. I finally solved the problem by just removing password from mailbox settings in OTRS config.pm file [Sendmail section]. Then suddenly it all started to work OK. And btw. - when I enabled "debug for more info" my OTRS crashed completely - even index.pl wasn't showing up... Best regards, Maciej
