Before OTRS 4 there was a file

UPGRADING.md

containing step by step upgrade instrctions.

Actually (since version 4 afaik) this file contains a link to the upgrade instructions:

http://otrs.github.io/doc/manual/admin/4.0/en/html/upgrading.html

There is no "single command" or "single step" upgrade in Linux, even if you use a package manager.
