It is cleat that you loose a bit of the functionality of OTRS about the history as all non-email users are mixed, but I see no other solution at the time being.
Hi Philippe, thanks a lot for the input. Perhaps one could use the telephone number as email adress followed by @localhost or so. So you have a valid, unique adress and the customer history would be preserved.
