Ryan, I've run that script and got that installed version of
SOAP::Lite is bad:
o SOAP::Lite.....................failed!!!
Version 0.712 not supported! This version is broken and
not useable! Please use another version.
After deinstall script otrs.CheckModules.pl showed following:
o SOAP::Lite.....................Not installed! (Optional -
Required for the SOAP interface.)
So, SOAP installation isn't root of problem. I've copied
original Config.pm over my Config.pm and index.pl show error
related database connection.
But if I put in it correct login/password it goes to redirect
me nowhere again.

Today I made a new database instance for OTRS. Whole
installation steps passed succsessfully, but it made no sense with
redirection.
Anyway, I need the OTRS system working, so I decided to backup
existing installation's files and DB and reinstall port
completetly.
I done make deinstall, make install, copied
Config.pm from backup and voila! - otrs is working again!
So, be carefull while installing ITIL, ITSM and other packages,
even if you're doing it through OTRS console from repository.
