I don't know if you run in the same problem as me, but if you use different users for OTRS ans Apache, you have to change to group of /opt/otrs to the primary group of the Apache-user.
What I am trying to do, is to install and test the shared calendar package. I am assuming that it is contained within the OTRS files, since I can't find where to download it.
You can download the packages via the Admin-pages, but only if you have no proxy or it doesn't need an authentication. Otherwise, download it yourself ftp://ftp.otrs.org/pub/otrs/packages/from
