If you are receiving large volumes of tickets, this may not be as effective as implementing procmail, which handles tickets instantly.

Thanks for the pointer.
I edited /opt/otrs/var/cron/postmaster_mailbox and changed the default
value from 10 to 1
And it works!

Hi Christian,
the time interval is controlled by cron based on the files under
/opt/otrs/var/cron/.
