[otrs] Can't install because CPAN.pm can't be found

      I know this isn't totally OTRS-related, but I cannot progress on the install
of 1.1.3 on a new system because of this:

[root@localhost otrs]# perl -MCPAN -e shell
Can't locate CPAN.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/ppc-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/ppc-linux-thread-multi

[root@localhost otrs]#

This is on a Yellow Dog Linux 3.0 installation.  Suggestions?
