Yes, OTRS and MySQL are running on the same CentOS box.

the rpm complains about it, but I just forced it to install without it since my db server is on a different machine....hope I can just edit the config file easily....

I think that should be possible.

thanks again for the easy steps below...that is pretty much what I did...now to upgrade my db ...hopefully that will be easy as well.

Just take a look in the /opt/otrs/scripts directory. Good luck. Nils Breunese.
