Why not click the Pending link on a ticket when you want to add to a ticket that you're waiting and choose 'pending reminder' as the state there? However, it is indeed possible to add your own custom states. Just read the docs: http://doc.otrs.org/2.0/en/html/c1525.html Nils Breunese.
