Yes. I have the boxes but we are not able to 'commit' the day with the
checkbox selected.

Hello Marco,
If the future date you are trying to add your working hours to is within a
valid period for your user and if it is a weekday and not weekend, you should get the 3 checkboxes to select either on sick leave, on vacation or on overtime leave.
