By default Linux will use either the Postfix or Exim mailer to deal with mail delivery, OTRS will use this and so long as the mail daemon is configured correctly this should work. Windows... well could be more interesting in the same general terms as the old chinese curse. I do get the impression that there is a slight lack of experience with mail service configuration here... NO matter what I do I cannot get the out of the box email functionality to work FULLY. IT receives with no problems but it cannot send the right way. I am assuming it is because our dumb ISP SBCYAHOOO in columbus needs us to use their SMTP server to send mail. WEll I went into the config files and put in the 4 lines for using SMTP but then the OTRS fails to start. CHecked syntax and everything IT still does not do the job for me. How do we setup SMTP any guides or readmes avaible. THe manual has 4 lines of code in it thats all!!!
