Hi Peter,<br><br>I saw your email from already a week back and today your second try. Last week I already noticed that Lance Vermillion mentioned a similar problem back in October 2008, he mentioned it on the OTRS mailing list but the issue stayed unresolved. I contacted him to find out if he ever resolved it; he couldn&#39;t remember, and no longer uses OTRS because of internal changes at his company.<br>
<br>Digging a little deeper, it could be that your issue is related to this bug:<br><a href="http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2307">http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2307</a><br>which means that this issue is caused by the MySQL configuration:<br>
<br><pre class="bz_comment_text" id="comment_text_8">If you have the same error on a unix based machine, you must enhance the<br>max_allowed_packet option in your mysql config file (/etc/<a href="http://my.cf">my.cf</a>).<br>
<br>For example:<br>max_allowed_packet=20M<br><br>((otrs)) can&#39;t fix this problem on an unix based machine, because MySQL is not<br>part of the OTRS installation package on unix based machines.<br></pre>If you change this value in the config file you should restart mysql afterwards. Can you try if this resolves your problem and let us know via the list?<br>
