[otrs] Ticket aging - how to stop the clock when the ticket is closed?

I would like the ticket Age counter to reflect the time from creation to closure for closed tickets, and from creation to current time for open tickets. Therefore I need some way to stop the clock when a ticket gets closed. Any suggestions?
