Hello,

I got an OTRS installation on a Redhat ES Linux 4 box. This OTRS fetches mails from our Exchange 2003 server. Sometimes there are mails with special characters in the subject header. The OTRS PostMasterPOP3.pl will fail on these mails and thus no tickets will be fetched until this blocking mail is removed manually from the Mailbox.

The problem seems to be in one of the Perl-Modules OTRS is using. This is the error message I get when running the PostMasterPOP3.pl from the command line:

Message 3/17 (helpdesk@x1.ads.i-dmedia.com)
Wide character in syswrite at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/Net/Cmd.pm line 436.

Is there a way to fix this problem?
