I saw this error as well when I deployed. The problem is with the Compress::Zlib package. I had multiple, conflicting copies of the package installed. I think one came from the Centos Base, and the other from CPAN. I stuck with the base RPM package (installed in /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/Compress/Zlib.pm) and removed the CPAN module.
