Well, I got the .pl to work. How did I do you ask? By creating a symbolic link from /var/www/localhost/Kernel to /usr/ ln -s /var/www/localhost/Kernel /usr/ I think perhaps I'm going to have to open a bug in Gentoo's ebuild area.
