I guess I  didn’t express myself to well.  I’ll try to explain a bit better.

I’ve made a vbscript that will reset the password for a given user and then send the new password via SMS.

I was thinking of having a button in OTRS that would do this.  So that it would be easier for our support guys to help the people who forget their password.

But for this to work I need at least the username of the current customer user.

No biggie for me at all, I just wondered if there was a way to retrieve the information.

Hi Lars,

What would you actually try to do with the data?
You might be better off to do your data management directly on the AD instead of via OTRS.
Otherwise, you could probably use OLE or so to fetch items from a browser window for use in a script. But depending what you'd like to do, javascript might be a more suitable choice for browser based data manipulation.
