regarding ticket state, does anyone know the difference between 'closed successful' and 'closed unsuccessful?'
I asked this exact question in Oct 2003. The reply that came through the list...
Maybe someone creates a ticket because his computer crashes every monday at 8.00 pm, but no one can find the cause. At some point you are not longer willing to spend time for bug-research ( time is money ???) You would decide to buy a new computer for that guy and close his ticket as 'Closed Unsuccessful' <- thats 'The OTRS-X-Files' :)
I guess it means you close the ticket, but you weren't really successful in solving the problem.
Exactly. The two close states have only statistical matter, for example if you need to create reports about your tickets, for the system both tickets are closed. Regards, Christian -- ((otrs)) :: OTRS GmbH :: Norsk-Data-Str. 1 :: 61352 Bad Homburg http://www.otrs.de/ :: Manage your communication!
