Y not take an other server, setup a new OS then install the newest version of OTRS (2.4.4). Then make a sqldump and import the database into your new OTRS system. You can read in the "upgrade" manuell which steps are needed to update the database to meet the strukture of the newest OTRS system. Then just switch the FQDN of the servers and voila ;)

ok, thanks. Then I will update. But it will a longer process, I guess,
first upgrading to 2.0 and then to other versions.
I'll do this in winter when I have more time.
These days I will be busy with the damage the hacker has done on my
server.. :-((
