Hello esteemed OTRS folks. I am new to OTRS and have
spent two days trying to figure out the problem I’m having, so hopefully
it won’t end up being a stupid noob mistake, although that’s
entirely possible.
I installed OTRS 2.2.1 from source on a Mandriva
2007.1 machine, following the CentOS instructions as a general guide, but using
the INSTALL files for things like mod_perl setup.
The modules all are installed per otrs.checkModules, mysql
and apache2.
Several times throughout the installation and now
administration process the CGIs seem to have failed silently, because I get a
firefox error about unable to connect (which is an incorrect description of
what happens, since it connects and then disconnects). The requests are
all logged in the http access log. Sometimes hash not found errors show
up in the error log, but certainly not as often as the failures occur.
When the failure occurs, reloading the page 2 to 5 times
usually gets me back to where I was, but as you can understand this isn’t
really a good solution for a production system.
I’ve tried turning on debug and performance logging
but the debug info seems to be the same for both successful and unsuccessful
requests, aside from the successful ones logging the performance log.
I would appreciate any clues as where to look first to try
to get to the root of the problem.
Thanks much,
