Thanks, Martin.<br><br>After making my original post, I found TicketCustom.pm on disk and realized that I was over-complicating the inheritance part.  Very easy to use.<br><br>Now I have written my redefinition of Kernel::System::Ticket::TicketEscalationIndexBuild and it is firing along.<br>
