Actually, this was one of the changes we made when switching from OTRS
2 to OTRS 3 that caused quite a lot of pushback. The idea of using a
popup is that the agent can use the 'parent' window to view all
articles in the ticket to assist in composing the answer. Apparently
not everybody likes it; to change the behaviour would be possible but
it will also require some coding. I'm fairly certain someone or some
company (maybe even OTRS AG) will do so at a certain point.
If you'd really dislike the popups and you don't have the skill to do
programming in Perl/jQuery/OTRS, you could either consider using OTRS
2.4.x or contract someone (OTRS Group, for instance) to implement it
in V3.

I would like to change the behaviour of linked objects. Instead of opening a new window each time, I would prefer to open the linked object in the same window. Is that possible and how can configure it? Thanks for every hint.
