What version of Apache/mod_perl are you using?
Apache/2.0.50 (Debian GNU/Linux) mod_perl/1.99_14 Perl/v5.8.4 PHP/4.3.8-9 Server at helpdesk.dkit.ie Port 80
What Apache/mod_perl exactly? # aptitude show apache2 libapache2-mod-perl2 | egrep '(Version|Paket)' I've got these difficulties with mod_perl/1.99_12 and Apache's below 2.0.50-8, and am now running mod_perl/1.99_14-4 on a 2.0.50-12 without any problems.
