I have NO postfix on my Server. I changed my postfix into djb-qmail.
So, otrs works fine on our platform and I have no trouble with it, but I want to ask perhaps an CORE devoloper if it is really urgent to run fetchmail on the system?
No, it's not really required for "your" setup. There are many different ways to setup. Our default RPM way is with Postfix and Fetchmail. -=> Of course you also can use other components for OTRS. .-)
