Are there any known problems installing OTRS on a Linux System with Confixx installed on it ? I want to do this, but i don“t want to crash my system. Well, who does?
This doesn't pose a problem IMHO. You surely have to learn the Confixx structure and *not* write directly to /etc/passwd or shadow! Refer to the Confixx documentation on how to set up a user and change his password after having installed Confixx. In short, it's two different files I don't remember the names. I would not recommend using the RPM distro of OTRS, take the tarbakll instead. Yes, an updated system will help. hth, Robert Kehl
