As a sidenote, you can configure where you want to store the attatchments that come with your mails in Config.pm, take a look at: http://doc.otrs.org/1.3/en/html/performance-tuning.html I use filesystem to have better control over the database and to be able of working faster with it (backups, querys, etc). They are stored in the database as articles on the ticket. If I understand right, the email comes in, and an article is created. The email itself isn't saved, I don't think. But the content of the email becomes the article.
