Just create a PostMaster Mail Account in you Adminpenal with your credetials and everything will work just fine.

I forget to mention I am using windows. I guess all DB and other components are installed at installation time only.

Hi,

which OS are you using and what DB? You can just test if the connection is working by logging in with the db otrs user and the set password for the otrs user into your database. I can´t remeber if the user is created with the installation routin or not, but if not then you´ll have to create a database user and a database and set the user an password in your config.pm file to connect to the database.

The URL looks like to be correct http://192.168.9.171/otrs/index.pl

You can change it in your Apache configuration file. Is your otrs user able to connect to your database? Have you set the right permission with the permission script from otrs?

I would say you are using a wrong passwort to get access to your otrs installation.

user : root@localhost
pass : root

You should change the password after your first login or disable the user and create a new one to administrate otrs.

I have installed OTRS for windows. Its installed successfully. But when I try to access web it give following errors.
