Hi Andrew,

I think  this is pretty basic stuff you ought to find in the manual.

As Admin you want to define under [ Email Adresses ] all the addresses you want to use.

(Under [ Postmaster Mail Account ], you can use these to route to proper queue based on To:)

Then under [ Queue ], setup/modify each queue and set the ‘Systemaddress:’ field of the queue to the one you want.

And there you go….  Email/Phone-Tickets, Response…. all are sent from the address you have selected for the queue  where the ticket is (created),

gr,

Frans

Subject: [otrs] Separate outboutnd email addresses per queue...

All,

I’ve tried Googling this to no avail.  Can any one tell me how this is possible?  We need to make the “From:” address different for all outbound emails from OTRS per the queue they originate from.  A secondary goal would be to actually have the outbound emails route through the appropriate SMTP relay for its address.

For example, if I reply to a customer from the “Widgets” queue, I want the outbound email to be from help@widgets.org.  Or if I’m replying to a ticket in the “Scallywag” queue, it should read help@scallywag.net

Clarifying the secondary goal, I would like emails sent from help@widgets.org to relay through smtp.widgets.org, and help@scallywag.net to relay through smtp.scallywag.net, etc.

I hope that makes sense.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
