Art, Yeah thanks for your reply, we did end up running out of HD space
because I was running backups from the MYSQL db and storing them on the
local machine while another backup utility was grabbing those and storing
them in an ofsite location
we ended up removing about 12 gig of unnecessary space and had to restore
the DB because of the DB rewriting a record
that reminds me...
Has anyone worked with the automated backup utility on MYSQL administrator?
I can't get it to run the automatic backups daily... any ideas would be
great. I am running the latest version of MYSQL admin and suse 9.0
thanks
Chaden

You probably already got a reply on this, but its most likely your are out of hard drive space.
Log on as root or su and the type in the following to see how much drive space you have:
"df –u"
