Yes, of cause I have ;) It's a dedicated remote Webserver and I only have ssh-access, so I don't want to test my luck when I've no chance to restore the system personally when something went wrong. It shouldn't be necessary, though I'd recommend it. You do have a reason to use 7.3 and not upgrade to a more recent version, say... 9, do you?

Right you are. Which rpm did you use? Please provide the exact filename and d/l location, if available.

The current RPM release is here:

RPM for SuSE Linux 8.x ( RPM ) ftp://ftp.otrs.org/pub/otrs/RPMS/suse/8.x/otrs-1.1.3-01.i386.rpm - MD5 (otrs-1.1.3-01.i386.rpm) 6bb057a871150da60293617498d9e202

Perhaps you might consider to repeat the download and start with the above RPM.
