i had somekind of the same problem tried around a little, nothing helped, and as i always got a 404 Page when calling domain.tld/otrs i set the ErrorPage 404 to domain.tld/otrs/index.pl and it works fine. hi Daniel, I checked the apache configuration file yet again and no thr arent any errors in defining the <directoryindex>. meta-refresh option is a good work around but i would like to keep it as a last possible option.

Config: Apache 1.3.x, Win2k, ActivePerl 5.6.1, Mysql

if you reloaded your apache configuration and the index directive still doesn't work, try to check it once again (e.g. syntax error).

Another fix: set an simple meta refresh, that points to index.pl-file. It will do it, too.
