I've set up sendmail on the OTRS server to send all mail through our mail server mail.escenic.com which is running MS Exchange.
Um. What "type" of body is the mail Exchange is complaining about? What is it that rejects the specified email? Compare the mail to one that's being let through.
Not to keep the thread hanging... This seem to be caused by a bug in Exchange. Exchange claims to handle 8bitmime when it doesn't. See more on this here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;262168 I never tried the fix thoug... I just changed my sendmail relay host to a mail server not running Exchange.
