This is indeed my problem. So, it seems that what I set in the "System Email Address management" area, then, email to that email address will go directly into the queue specified.
So, in my case, I have one email address that is using otrs, call it comphelp@xxx.com how do I set it so that email normally gets sent to the raw queue, but that I can still use the filters based on headers so that I can filter spam that is being sent top comphelp@xxx.com to the Junk queue?

Check POP3 Account Management under PopMasterPOP3 Account. Select Dispatching by Email To Field. The PosterMaster Filter will be still used....as stated on that window:: "All incoming emails with one account will be dispatched in the selected queue! If your account is trusted, the already existing x-otrs header at arrival time (for priority, ...) will be used! PostMaster filter will be used anyway."

Richard: I think I found the answer after thinking about it. I am not using PopMasterPOP3. I am currently using fetchmail to retrieve mail via an imap connection over ssl. The fetchmail command is set up via cron job I then have a forward to dump it into procmail I set it up like 7.2.3. on http://doc.otrs.org/2.0/en/html/x1244.html Looks like the best/preferred/easiest/only way I should do this is to make procmail recipes for my procmailrc...... I'll give that a shot and that should be fine.... Thanks again alan
