Yes, I've tried to run it and got message "secure mode is
enabled"
After disabling safemode in the Config.pm file, it had runned
normally trough all steps and created a new database. But index.pl
redirects me again.

No, I don't need it ;) When I looked at CheckModules.pl's
output, I didn't mentioned it was "optional" but not "required",

Anyway, OTRS doesn't worked with SOAP on my system, complaining
what SOAP version is invalid because it is faulty, so I removed
it.
2. You mentioned that you copied the default config.pm and index.pl over
your modified versions.
a. Does the redirect occur with both versions of the files? (I
am pretty sure your answer is yes, but just asking)

b. When you say "correct login/password" you mean that you have
modified the default config.pm by adding the mysql username and
password?
another yes. ;)
c. What is the address displayed in the navigation bar after the
redirect occurs?
it was root of my web server. btw it was only apache's
message "it works!".
d. What is the source of the page you are redirected to?
